2021 Season Of NFL To Include Messages Of Social Justice Black National Anthem Again
The Black national anthem will be a part of the new 2021 season of the NFL once again. The song played just before the beginning of the first week of 2020 NFL will be an important part of the big events of the league. This is according to the report of Front Sports on Wednesday.
Everyone In The NFL Believes In The Fight Against Systemic Racism!Phrases of social justice like the phrase, âEnd Racismâ were allowed by the NFL to be displayed on the teamsâ jerseys. The phrase was also painted on the back of the end zones of the teams. Players could honor and respect victims of police violence and systematic racism last year. According to the report by Front Sports, the plans for the 2021 season of the NFL wants to ratchet up these messages again. Usually, one can hear the black national anthem before the pre-season games or a few primetime games, the draft of the NFL, or the Super Bowl.
Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the league acknowledged the movement of the Afro-Americans! He stated that everyone present in the league and playing in it respects the fight of the black lives in the face of police violence and systematic racism. He also talked about his desire of protesting with the people and wanting to bring change to the political ways of the country. He said the above in his video from last year.
He also added that black players make up a significant portion of all the players playing in the NFL. The protests happening across the United States of America are symbols of the oppression, inequality, and silence of Black players, staff, fans, and coaches! He would always support those who raise their voices in protest of these injustices!
