Prince Harrys loyal pals threaten to expose royal secrets if he reveals private details about them in tell-all book

PRINCE Harry’s old Eton and Army friends have reportedly warned him not to reveal their secrets in his tell-all memoir â€" and threatened to dish out Royal dirt in return.

Pals of the Duke of Sussex are said to be concerned that he will expose embarrassing secrets in the book, which is due to be published next year.

Harry on Monday announced he would be releasing a memoir next year â€" as Her Majesty celebrates 70 years of service â€" in which he will recount “experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons”. 

Friends of the duke could be prepared to retaliate by dishing the Royal dirt back after years of refusing to gossip about him to the media, the Mail on Sunday reports. 

A pal told the newspaper: “It feels very hypocritical given Harry chucked people out of his friendship group for talking to the press.

“There is a fear that he’s going to reveal details of his hedonistic youth which some worry will play havoc with their careers and personal lives.”

Another source said: “If Harry slams any of his old school and military buddies in his new book they have pledged to break ranks to tell their story.”

Harry’s friends are also reported to be nervous after their “friendly emails” went unanswered. 

Tensions reportedly began when the duke left a number of his military pals off the list for his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018 to make room for celeb friends such as George Clooney.

Meanwhile, Harry is reported to have led negotiations with publishing houses to secure the book deal â€" with bidding for the memoir beginning at £18 million and rising as high as £29 million. 

Two publishers reportedly flew out from London to Harry’s home in California and took part in an ‘auction’ for the rights to his book.

It comes as part of a lucrative four-book deal with publisher Random House, which includes the memoir, a title to be published after the Queen’s death and a “wellness” guide penned by Harry’s wife Meghan Markle. 

The author and subject of the fourth title is not yet known. 

For his memoir, Harry is collaborating with celebrated ghostwriter JR Moehringer, who has written memoirs for tennis legend Andre Agassi and Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

It has been described as the “definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him”. Proceeds will be donated to charity.

Buckingham Palace has allegedly been warned they “should be afraid” of what’s to come from it.

The Palace declined to comment on the Mail on Sunday’s report.
