Man dies in crash in Bury New Road Whitefield

A MAN has died after a three car crash this morning.

Police were called to Bury New Road, Whitefield at 6.10am to the multiple car crash.

Officers say a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bury New Road is shut both ways as an investigation into the crash gets underway.

Commuters are being warned of major delays.

Three vehicles are involved between M60 junction, Prestwich and Whitefield, and Higher Lane, near McDonalds.

There is congestion to Radcliffe New Road.

There are also delays along Bury Old Road and adding delays onto the M60

Bus services are diverted.
